Central Kentucky YMCA team advances to the 2025 NFL Flag National Championship. After 33 combined Central KY YMCA volunteer coaching years and commitment from players and parents, your local YMCA team has finally made it to the big stage.

  • FCPS Story

    Lexington East Elite, a recreation flag football team for players 14U, went undefeated this season and won an NFL FLAG regional tournament on Nov. 17 in Indiana. They will represent the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL National FLAG Championship on ESPN next summer!

    The ultimate youth flag football event of the year is set - the 2025 NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota will bring the nation's top teams to the home of football legends.

  • LEX18 Story

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A local flag football team has the chance to play on the national stage after winning a regional tournament in Indianapolis. It wasn’t just any flag football tournament. The team, Lexington Elite, won the NFL Flag regional tournament.

Our Journey

  • Local

    All players compete in the local Central Kentucky YMCA NFL Flag football league. The YMCA host leagues around the city to allow players from all over to participate. This team has had great competition to help prepare for this opportunity.

  • Regional

    The core of this team has traveled and competed in tournaments in both the Ohio State Buckeye Stadium and the Cincinnati Bengals Stadium. Lexington East Elite was victorious against opponents from Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana to win the Indianapolis Colts Regional tournament.

  • National

    This team of talented young athletes has trained, played, and grown together all season long. After taking home the regional title, they're now one step away from a national championship in the historic Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio!
